A MAN and woman have been arrested on suspicion of keeping dogs for fighting after a police raid this morning.
Police carried out a warrant at a house in Top Road, Kingsley, at 9am today, Thursday, June 15. Six police vehicles were sent to the property.
Officers seized two dogs believed to be Pit Bulls and recovered a ‘number of items associated with training dogs to fight’.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 9am today, officers from Chester Local Policing Unit executed a warrant under the Dangerous Dogs Act at an address on Top Road, Kingsley.
“As a result of the warrant officers seized two dogs, believed to be pit bulls, they are currently being looked after in a specialist kennels. Officers also recovered a number of items associated with training dogs to fight.
“A 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of two fighting dogs. They are currently in police custody assisting officer with their enquiries.”
