THE new Weaver Vale MP Mike Amesbury has been officially sworn into Parliament today.
Mike secured a clear victory in last week’s General Election, winning a decisive 51 per cent of the vote, and reclaiming the seat for the Labour Party.
Speaking from Westminster this morning, Mike said: “It is an honour and a privilege to have been chosen by the people of Weaver Vale to represent them in House of Commons, and I look forward to serving the whole of the community, and being their voice in Parliament in the future.”
