RYAN Blackie was the outstanding individual performer for Davenham’s seconds during a draw with their Bowdon counterparts on Saturday afternoon.

He was unbeaten on 133 as the hosts amassed 264-9 at Butcher’s Stile, where opener Christian Kouris chipped in with 31.

Blackie then returned figures of 4-22, off 11 overs, as the away side held on for a share of the spoils at 181-8.

Kouris again provided support, taking 2-48.

Three batsmen, Tom Bannister-Wright (60), Craig Douglas (57) and Tom Hyslop (51), scored a half-century for Oulton Park seconds as they racked up 254 at home to Grappenhall.

Damian Barton (4-39) and Richard Smith (4-38), who claimed the prize wicket of danger man Iain Wright (63), then did the damage as the visitors to Little Budworth succumbed for 143 in reply.

Northwich played out a draw with Alvanley in Division Two after posting 193-9 from their 50 overs.

Andrew Pickstock (47) and Nicholas Verma (25) put on 67 for the first wicket, while Mark Phillips (25) and Simon James (29no) contributed later.

The visitors closed on 188-6 after tea.

Chris Fletcher (74) was their top-scorer, while teenager Matthew Holland (3-23) led the home team’s attack.

Middlewich seconds were on the receiving end of a 174-run thrashing away to Lindow, who scored 226-3 before declaring.

Matt Ramsden (76) and James Bracewell (52) both passed 50.

The men from Haddon Field then crashed to 55 all out, with only captain Vinnie Stott (25) offering any resistance as four batsmen were dismissed without scoring.

Ramsden took 5-18 to cap a fine afternoon’s work.
