A SMALL fire in a wooded area in Weaverham is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were called to the incident in Northwich Road on Wednesday, May 24, just after 8pm.
One fire engine attended from Northwich.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A handheld extinguisher was used to put out a small fire in woods. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
“Anyone with any information is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101.”
