THE Anderton Boat Lift and the Lion Salt Works Museum are offering children the chance to become a mad scientist and to learn about fun engineering experiments with cranes and lifts.
The attractions are the setting for fun science activities during half-term as part of Amazed by Science Week.
Become a mad scientist at the museum on May 30 and 31. Drop-in activities run from 10.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm.
On May 31 the Anderton Boat Lift hosts ‘Engineering Experiments with Cranes and Lifts’.
Learn about canal cranes and experiment with gears by having a go at building a working mini-crane. Understand how hydraulics work by experimenting using kits, which will help you understand the principles behind the Boat Lift.
Drop in between 11am and 3pm.
