HAYDEN Lanza was a match-winner for Kingsley as they extended a winning run to four matches at Ashley on Saturday.

The Aussie all-rounder has yet to be dismissed since arriving in England, and he raced to 63 – off 50 balls – to help his side reach a victory target of 204.

Captain Toby Mullins (38) and brother Danny (36) starred too, keeping Kingsley at the top of the Division One table.

“I’m happy with how many guys are contributing with the bat – we have so much depth,” said the skipper afterwards.

“They’re in great form too.”

Ashley had posted 203-7, although the visitors needed in-form seamer Adrian Burden (3-28 off 14 overs) to dismiss dangerous openers Rizwan Baig (59) and Hamza Butt (46) before assuming control.

Oakmere rise to fourth place after inflicting another defeat on slow-starters Heaton Mersey.

They knocked over their hosts for 139 after winning the toss, with CJ van der Walt (4-20) and Matt Norton (3-37) the pick of their bowling attack.

The South African also run out danger-man Alex Fair (56).

He completed an outstanding individual performance after tea when he top-scored with 83, off just 39 balls, in the visitors’ winning reply.

That tally included 14 fours and three sixes.

Winnington Park were on the receiving end of a one-man show during a seven-wicket reverse against Wilmslow at the Rec.

However their guests’ first-wicket pairing put on 142, with Jaga Narayanan (65) – who had earlier taken four wickets – and Rob Herriott (76) doing the damage.

Leg-spinner Jonny Wales (2-61) removed Wilmslow’s star turn, but it was not enough.

“We’re still searching for consistency over 90 overs and will continue to work hard to achieve it,” said Park skipper Alec Butcher afterwards.

Hale Barns hunted down a huge victory target to beat visiting Barnton in Division One.

Simon Hancock’s side had posted 235-8 after being put in, with Callum Doyle (51) and Adam Garrod (72) sharing in a 110-run partnership for the second wicket.

They wobbled when four wickets fell for 22 runs, but James Hodgkinson (29) and quick-scoring Pat Flanagan (54 off 34 balls) fought back during a stand worth 64.

On a batting track, Joe Cooper (106) and Hashir Dafedar (80) put on 138 for the third wicket to take the game away from Barnton.

Dan Gilbert (4-32) and Andrew Leese (2-57) kept their side in contention until late on.

Middlewich are searching for a first victory after losing by seven wickets at home to Runcorn in the same section.

Sam Brothers (38) and Gavin Twigg (34) were their leading scorers as they put on 142-8 at Haddon Field.

However Dan Booth (68no) led the visitors to a comfortable victory.

Hartford had too small a total to defend in a six-wicket reverse at Kerridge in Division Five.

They were restricted to 117-9 by Adam Banks (4-30) and Alex Grimes (3-23) after losing the toss.
