RACING fans have headed in their thousands to enjoy Ladies Day at Chester Races.
More than 65,000 race-goers from across the north west and beyond are expected to descend on Chester for the three-day Boodles May Festival, which started on Wednesday.
Glorious weather saw crowds turn out in force the Boodles Ladies Day, with tickets for the VIP section in short supply.
Racegoers were joined by reality TV stars including Leanne Brown from Real Housewives of Cheshire and Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness.
This year organisers also held a Gentlemen’s Best Dressed prize on the opening day of the festival on Wednesday.
