NORTHWICH Police are urging people to keep updated with diversions and road closures on Friday, May 12, when the town plays host to the Tour Series cycling event.
“This event is likely to attract thousands of spectators to Northwich Town Centre during the day and evening,” said the police.
“Please ensure you keep updated with all traffic detours and road closures.”
Roads to be closed:
From 5am to 23.59pm -
A533 London Road from Chester Way to Watling Street.
From 11am to 10pm -
Watling Street from Castle Street to Chester Way
Chester Way from Meadow Street to London Road
Sheath Street, full length
Crum Hill, full length
Timber Lane, full length
Brockhurst Street from Chester Way to Memorial car park
Winnington Street eastbound from Beswicks Road to Watling Street
Apple Street, full length
Market Street, full length
Weaver Way, full length
From 3.30pm to 10pm -
Chester Way from Venable Road to Meadow Street
Meadow Street, full length
Witton Street from Meadow Street to Venables Road
Venables Road from Albion Road to Chester Way
Parking on Percy Street will be suspended from 10am to 10pm.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.
