A CAR was deliberately set on fire in Plumley last night, prompting a police appeal for information.
Firefighters from Knutsford were called to a wooded area opposite Ascol Drive, near Cheshire Business Park, at 7.02pm yesterday, Wednesday.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "This fire was started deliberately.
"Anyone with any information about this fire is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, or Cheshire Police on 101."
