THE family of Michael Price – who has been missing for 12 days – have urged him to return home.

Michael, or Micky as he is known to family and friends, was reported missing by his partner on Sunday, April 16.

Searches for the 40-year-old, carried out by a number of organisations and volunteer groups, have proved unsuccessful.

Micky’s partner, Claire Taylor, has urged him to return home and ‘end this nightmare’.

Claire told the Guardian: “I don’t know what to do. It’s like living in limbo. It’s horrendous.

“I feel helpless, useless. I want to do something, but there’s nothing we can do. We just want him to come home.”

Micky and Claire, who live Winnington, have a son called Joe.

He also has three daughters from a previous relationship, aged six, 12 and 17.

“His children need him home,” Claire said. “I just want an end to this nightmare. We need to know he’s safe. We need to know he’s okay.”

Micky's parents Winnie and Dave Price said his disappearance is out of character.

Winnie, 66, said: “I am trying, for the kids, to keep things going. I feel helpless just sat here. He’s never ever done anything like this. It’s just not like him.”

“If he is listening, I’d tell him to ring me," she said. "I’m not bothered where you are or what you are doing.

“I just need to know you are safe.”

The last confirmed sighting of Micky was on the morning of Saturday, April 15, when he was seen in the Shakespeare Close area of Rudheath and the adjacent rural area towards the Danefields estate.

Police have been working closely with the National Police Air Support unit and the North West Underwater Search team.

Officers have been supported by firefighters from the Water Rescue team at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service along with a number of volunteers from Cheshire Search and Rescue team and Staffordshire Search and Rescue team.

CCTV images have also been released that show Micky inside Rudheath Post Office, Middlewich Road, shortly before 9.45am on Saturday, April 15.

Micky is white, 6ft 1ins tall, of slim build with green eyes and short brown, greying hair.

He was last seen wearing a green Henry Lloyd parka-style top, blue jeans and blue trainers.

Ch Insp Simon Meegan said: “I ask anyone who believes that they may have seen Michael, or anyone matching his description, to contact Northwich police.

“I’d like to appeal directly to Michael to ask him to contact us to let us know that you are okay.

"Your friends and family are worried about you and want to know that you are safe and well.”

Anyone within any information in relation to the whereabouts of Micky is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 303 of April 16.
