VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help relaunch the Lostock Gralam Youth Club.

The club was held every week at Lostock Gralam Community Centre until 2014, and the committee is looking to restart the club with the support of residents.

“The club was held every Tuesday evening at the community centre and had a hugely successful member base for children aged between five and 11,” said club secretary Emma Garner.

“The club decided to take a break in 2014 mainly through it becoming harder to have regular volunteers - life becomes busy and with that comes other commitments - and minor incidents that occurred with older children.

“However our committee has been looking at various ways that we could re-open.

“We are mainly looking to hold monthly events, such as discos, games nights, film nights or craft evenings at the centre.

“With that we would like to create a volunteer roster which would allow people to volunteer one or two hours of their time every few weeks.”

“We welcome everyone and any ideas or suggestions, and if anyone needs any more information don’t hesitate to contact me by calling 01606 351217."
