DAME Sarah Storey’s team is one of 13 which will contest this year's Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Series as a part of the televised Tour Series in May at towns and cities, including Northwich.
The list is headlined by British UCI teams Drops and Team WNT, and the new team of Dame Sarah Storey, Storey Racing, who include several members of the defending Matrix Fitness GP Series champions, including Dame Sarah Storey, Britain’s most decorated Paralympian.
“I am delighted to have Storey Racing at the Matrix Fitness GP Series in 2017, a series in which I have been part of the winning team since 2014,” said Dame Sarah Storey.
“The competition will be a fantastic battle among the teams. Storey Racing is looking forward to racing and enjoying the spectacle around major towns and cities in the UK.”
The full list of teams of teams is as follows: Aprire HSS Hire; Drops; Cycle Engage UK; Liv Epic; NCC Group Kuota Torelli; Storey Racing; SunSport Velo; Team Breeze; Team Ford EcoBoost; Team Jadan Weldtite p/b Vive Le Velo; Team OnForm; Team WNT Pro Cycling; and Velo Schills / Interbike RT.
Each squad will field up to five riders in all eight rounds of the Series. Full details of all of the riders for the Matrix Fitness GP Series will be announced during April.
The Matrix Fitness GP Series will feature at eight of the ten Tour Series events in 2017, including Northwich on Friday, May 12.
Highlights of every Tour Series event will be shown on ITV4, with programmes also be available on demand via the ITV Hub.
