FRIENDS of Anderton and Marbury’s competition for photographs taken in Northwich Woodlands attracted a record number of entries.
More than 110 people visited the exhibitions at Comberbach Memorial Hall and Marbury Country Park.
Simon Davies and Andy Harmer found judging extremely challenging, with the standard being higher than ever.
The winners were – Landscape: Kay West; Wildlife: Fauna - Alan Redley, Flora - John Hopkins; Work, Rest and Play: Gordon Atkinson.
Jim Jeeves, who organised the event, said: “Visiting members of camera clubs gave us positive reviews of the standard and presentation of photos.
“We hope to exhibit the photographs at various local venues over the next few months.”
The vote for Favourite Picture among visitors went to Alison Hamlin-Hughes’ very evocative photograph taken in Marbury Arboretum, and called ‘Seeking Enchantment’.
