NORTHWICH and Winsford residents have until tomorrow, Friday, to have their say on the proposed parking strategy.

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s proposed strategy would see parking charges in all towns in the borough, including Northwich and Winsford.

Members of the public have had 12 weeks to submit their views on the proposals and now have just one more day to do so.

Cllr Karen Shore, the council’s cabinet member for environment, said: “Car ownership continues to increase and parking provision in our town centres and rural areas must keep pace. We need your views to ensure we can develop a future-proof parking strategy that meets the needs of all our customers.

“We are only consulting on the initial proposals made by our independent consultants and it’s important to stress that no decisions have been made.

“Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch or attended one of our drop-in sessions across the borough. If you haven’t got involved yet, please do so before 24 February.”

Have your say by emailing parking@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk, or by calling 0300 123 7024.
