ALMOST 100 pensioners enjoyed an excellent three-course lunch and an afternoon of entertainment at an annual party.

The party was organised by the Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal, and was held at Winnington Park Recreation Club.

The event is provided free of charge by the club as part of its work in the local community.

Club president Peter Chapman thanked Steve Hollis, chairman of the Community Services Committee and his team for organising the event.

He thanked The Bostock Singers for providing the entertainment, St Johns Ambulance, Mid Cheshire Catering, which produced the meals, and Rotarians partners who helped to serve the meals.

Thanks also went to the Petty Pool Trust and Cransley School for allowing the club to use their minibuses to help with ferrying pensioners to and from the event.

The party was a huge success, with those who attended urging the club to do it again next year.
