PUPILS worked with visiting artist Julie Mitchell to create a sculpture for their school hall.
The children are in years five six at Barnton Community Nursery and Primary School.
“The children designed colourful stained glass window-style panels in teams, and then created them using wire and jewel coloured papers,” said reception class teacher Georgie Witherspoon.
“These were then shaped and connected to create the beautiful sculpture that is now hanging grandly in the school hall.”
Julie Mitchell offers art, craft and design education to children in primary and special schools, GCSE and A level students and adults in the community.
