TEN Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College students are celebrating after being selected to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

As well as Oxbridge, hundreds more students at Sir John Deane’s have received offers from other Russell Group universities, including Manchester, Warwick, Durham and Sheffield, with 95 per cent of applicants holding an offer at their first choice university.

Louis Bullen, Olivia Cranmer-Gordon, Lou Lou Curry, Rosemary Gooda, Dominic Green, Joao Lanca, Sarah Longworth, Thomas Marquand, Cameron Rennie and Matthew Taylor fought off tough competition for the coveted places.

They will be studying the following subjects.

Louis Bullen (from Northwich), biological sciences at Oxford

Olivia Cranmer-Gordon (from Northwich), chemistry at Oxford

Lou Lou Curry (from Malpas), English language and literature at Oxford

Rosemary Gooda (from Chester), biological sciences at Oxford

Dominic Green (from Winsford), mathematics at Cambridge

Joao Lanca (from Appleton), natural sciences at Cambridge

Sarah Longworth (from Warrington), veterinary medicine at Cambridge

Thomas Marquand (from Frodsham), mathematics at Cambridge

Cameron Rennie (from Northwich), veterinary medicine at Cambridge

Matthew Taylor (from Chester), Geography at Oxford
