FIREFIGHTERS gave oxygen therapy to a man caught up in a kitchen fire at a house in David Street, Northwich, this afternoon.
A wooden ceiling joist in the kitchen was on fire, and had left the building full of smoke.
Firefighters used a high pressure fan to clear all the smoke and cutting gear to cut away burnt embers from the ceiling joist.
They also gave oxygen therapy to the householder, who was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
Fire engines from Northwich and Winsford attended the fire at 2.22pm.
