VINCENT Gambini is presenting a magic show with a difference at Winsford and Great Budworth.

This Is Not A Magic Show, from sleight-of-hand expert Vincent Gambini, is at Winsford Library tomorrow, Saturday, October 15 at 7pm, followed by a performance at Great Budworth Parish Hall on Sunday, October 16 at 8pm.

Tickets for the shows can be bought from the venues.

Tickets for the Winsford show can be booked by calling 01606 275065 or online at cheshireruraltouringarts.co.uk, and for the Great Budworth performance call 01606 891019/891571.

Vincent Gambini presents close-up magic that invites us to question how enchantment and wonder are produced within a theatrical situation.

The show is part performance-lecture, part deconstructed showbiz, and part magic tricks.

Gambini is an award-winning magician based in London. His speciality is sleight-of-hand with cards and coins, performed at very close quarters.

He combines magic with elements of theatre, performance art and spoken word, and there will be a question and answer session following the interval during both performances.

Gambini said: “I’m really looking forward to these two dates. This work is part magic show and part theatre monologue, so it will be interesting to see how audiences respond.

“Some people go more for the card tricks, others for the stories and narrative structures, so let's see what happens.”

The shows form part of Cheshire Rural Touring Arts’ autumn season of touring, which takes professional arts events to village halls and libraries across the county.
