HEAD of year Rick Hibbert has overseen the latest outstanding GCSE results at The Grange School at Hartford.
An impressive 94.4 per cent of the results were A* to B, with just over 75 per cent of all examination results awarded at A or A*, and 33 per cent of pupils achieving nine or more A* and A grades.
This achievement, with each pupil gaining on average an A grade in all subjects, has been overseen by Mr Hibbert.
As well as leading the modern languages faculty, he has been Head of Year to this age group for 21 years.
Mr Hibbert, the Head of Year 11 said: βIn 21 years as Head of Year I have seen many changes in school, highlights being the consistent GCSE results when invariably our students exceed all expectations and watching the journeys taken by cohorts of children as they grow into young adults on the cusp of sixth form study.
βI have enjoyed this role, but have come to realise that it is time to pass on the baton as there are children in this latest year group whose parents I taught many years ago.β
