ALAN Dean’s image of Pocket Park in Northwich town centre was chosen by Visit Northwich as July’s winner of its Photo of the Month competition.
Last month produced an unprecedented amount of brilliant entries, including shots of wildlife, images that captured the town’s heritage and industry and scenes from the River Weaver.
“Alan’s image not only captures the landscaped park but features some of the town’s historic black and white buildings, bringing old and new together in perfect harmony,” said a Visit Northwich spokesman.
“His image will now go on to feature on the 2017 Visit Northwich calendar, which will go on sale towards the end of the year.
Northwich BID Officer Mark Henshaw said: “With all of the developments that have taken place in Northwich and the new ones still to come, it’s easy to forget about the beautiful historic buildings we already have here in the town.
“Alan has brilliantly been able to capture both, showing the recently re-developed Pocket Park with the beautiful Imperial Buildings and Bull Ring in the background.
“I’d like to say well done to Alan, and I can’t wait to see the shot on the Visit Northwich calendar when it goes on sale later in 2016.”
This month’s competition is now live so if you’d like to enter, simply head to the POTM page on the Visit Northwich website or upload your image to Twitter or Instagram along with the hashtag #NorthwichPOTM.
