ARRIVA North West and Wales is looking to 'deliver services previously operated by GHA Coaches' after they went into administration.

GHA Coaches, which is based at Ruabon, near Wrexham, North Wales, announced it had ceased trading on Wednesday, July 13.

GHA Coaches is one of the largest independently owned bus and coach operators in the UK and runs services in Northwich and its surrounding areas.

Arriva North West and Wales, which also runs a number of services throughout Cheshire, is currently working with several local authorities in the wake of the collapse.

A spokesman for Arriva North West and Wales said: “As you will be aware, GHA Coaches has ceased trading.

“As of now, Arriva North West and Wales is working to understand the full extent of the impact and a suitable response to minimise customer disruption.

“At present we are working with local councils in Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Cheshire East and Cheshire West to understand how we can help deliver services previously operated by GHA.”

Those affected are advised to consult the current timetable and ticketing information via their website or smartphone app.

Arriva will issue updates on the Arriva ‘Latest’ pages via arrivabus.co.uk/north-west/Latest/ Further updates are being posted on Arriva’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

The spokesman said: “These updates will provide information regarding the release of emergency timetables and ticketing information, as well as any other information that will help with journey planning.
