SINGER Olivia Stokes and covers band The Singles Table are to perform at an evening in memory of Rudheath teenager Lauren Lelonek.

The anti-bullying awareness evening - Stand Up, Speak Out - is being staged at Memorial Court in Northwich on Saturday, July 16, and is aimed at families and people of all ages.

It is being organised by Paul Howard from Barnton and Lauren’s uncle Stuart Williamson, from Northwich.

Olivia will be performing a song she has written in memory of Lauren, 16.

“The song is about her being free now, and wondering what her hopes and dreams were for her future,” she said.

“It’s also about wishing we could go back and have been more aware of the situation and standing up for her more... as we all maybe regret we didn't do.

“She was a beautiful happy girl with the most lovely smile, and we will hold that in our hearts forever.”

Paul has worked in the music industry for 15 years, and has known Lauren’s uncle for 20 years.

“Stuart said he wanted to do something for Lauren, and asked if I could help,” said Paul.

“The evening at the Memorial Court is intended to be a family event for the community to come together, and I’m hoping to add more performers to the line-up.

“I know it’s going to be an emotional evening, and money raised will go to a charity chosen by Lauren’s family.”

Tickets for the evening are £5 for under-18s and £12.50 for adults, and are available from the Memorial Court. The evening runs from 5pm to 9pm.

Lauren Lelonek attended Rudheath Primary Academy and The University of Academy Northwich.

Paramedics and an air ambulance were called to an address in Braemar Avenue, Rudheath, on Friday, June 10, and Lauren was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cheshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Lauren’s death.

A justgiving online donations page, justgiving.com/smithsian98hotmailcouk-sian, has raised £1,046 in memory of Lauren.

One of the comments on the page states – “Lauren, you have touched the hearts of so many - wish we could have helped you earlier - sweet dreams angel.”
