POLICE have confirmed that a 16-year-old girl was found dead at an address in Braemer Avenue, Rudheath this afternoon.
Paramedics and an air ambulance were called at 3.40pm but the teenager, Lauren Lelonek, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokeman said: “At 3.40pm today police were called by ambulance to an address in Braemar Avenue, Northwich, in support of paramedics responding to a female casualty.
"Sadly a teenager - who has been named as Lauren Lelonek, aged 16 – was pronounced dead at the scene.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file will prepared for the coroner.”
Lauren’s family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this very difficult time.
