READERS are being invited to see if they recognise themselves or any of their former classmates from a picture of a school celebration.
The photograph dates from the late 1960s, and features all the children from the Manchester Road Infant School at Lostock Gralam.
It was brought into the Guardian office by Joyce Harding from Lostock Gralam, and includes Mrs Harding’s daughter Deborah Dignum.
Deborah, who lives in Davenham, was aged five in the picture, which Mrs Harding believes dates from 1967 and was taken at a whole school Christmas celebration.
Deborah is pictured in the dark-coloured dress on the far right of the picture next to the art work featuring holly leaves. To her left, wearing a headband, is her school friend Pamela Jeffs.
