MORRIS dancers and vintage cars featured at the first CransleyFest in the grounds of Cransley School.

The event was organised by the Friends of Cransley, and featured activities for all ages involving the school community and the wider public.

There was a tug of war, barbecue and an authentic vintage tea room, with entertainment being provided by the Northwich Pop Choir.

Pupils performed Romeo and Juliet and sang a selection of current tunes, and the evening entertainment was provided by the band Doolittle.

A Biology, Botany and Bugs day aimed at children aged four to 11 will be held on June 20.

Richard Pollock, Junior School Headteacher, said: “We will be investigating the natural science in our extensive grounds, enjoying a mini-beast hunt, pond-dipping and even carrying out forensic analysis in our science labs and much more.”
