BABY robins are the centre of attention after setting up home at a pre-school.

The family have made a nest in the children’s equipment shed at Antrobus Pre-School at Sandiway Lane, Antrobus.

The pre-school has kept the doors of the shed open to allow the parents to fly in and out with food for the baby robins, and the feathered visitors are proving a huge hit with staff and children alike.

“The children have loved seeing the parents bringing back worms and insects for the babies,” said nursery nurse Alex Jarvis.

“The robins made the nest on top of a gazebo stored in the shed, and the children are amazed to see the babies growing.

“The parents come back every five to 10 minutes with more food, and we take the children in to have a look at the nest.

“I’m as fascinated by it as the children are, and at the start of each day I go and see how they’re getting on.

“The nest ties in with our spring theme, and we are keeping everyone updated on the babies’ progress on our Facebook page - @ Antrobus preschool and nursery.”
