PEOPLE are invited to support Demi-Lee Riley’s fundraising for a brain injury charity as part of her bid for beauty pageant success.

Demi-Lee, from Rudheath, is a finalist in the Face of North West pageant 2016, in which she is sponsored by Cherish Bridal of Northwich.

The regional final takes place at the end of June, and if Demi-Lee is successful she will win a place in the Face of Europe and the World final at Disneyland Paris in 2017.

As part of her bid for pageant success she is raising funds for Headway East Kent, the competition’s founding charity and a division of Headway Brain Injury Association.

Demi-Lee, 21, is a health care assistant at HC-One Acorn Hollow care home in Lostock Gralam.

To raise money she has run a raffle and has donation boxes at the Team Foy Gymnasium at Winnington, Dolly’s Nail Lounge in Rudheath, Barclays Bank at Gadbrook Park and Helen’s Hair Studio in Northwich.

She has raised £120 from a raffle and donations through her Facebook page, with the raffle prize being a portrait created by her uncle Sean Riley.

She is also taking part in the Warrington Pretty Muddy 5K on Saturday, May 7 for Cancer Research UK, and has set herself a target of raising £150.

She will be taking part in the Race for Life event at Warrington with her sister Charlene Johnson and friend Lauren Avison, from Rudheath.

Charlene raised more than £2,000 from an online donations page to enable cancer patient Staceylee Griffiths to enjoy some precious time with her family.

The money was raised to enable Staceylee, 24, from Northwich, to enjoy a holiday break and make her life as comfortable as possible.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury.

Through its network of 125 groups and branches across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields.

Anyone who would like to support the trio’s Pretty Muddy challenge can visit www.justgiving.com and type in Demi-Lee Johnson.
