HAZEL Evans is opening up her country garden once again to support the National Gardens Scheme.

Hazel lives at All Fours Farm, Colliers Lane, Aston-by-Budworth, CW9 6NF.

She is opening her garden to the public on Monday, March 28, Monday, May 2 and Sunday, June 5 and Sunday, June 26.

People will be able to visit between 10am and 4pm, and refreshments will be available.

Visitors will be able to see a traditional and well-established country garden with a wide range of roses, hardy shrubs, bulbs, perennials and annuals.

There is also a small vegetable garden, pond and greenhouse as well as vintage machinery and original features from the property’s days as a working farm.

Admission is £4, with children being admitted free.

“All the money we raise goes to support local charities through the National Gardens Scheme, and we are keen to make this year a bigger success than last year and beat last year’s total,” said Hazel, who raised £3,500 from last year's open days for the National Gardens Scheme.

Since its foundation in 1927 the National Gardens Scheme has donated £45 million for nursing and caring charities, of which nearly £23 million has been donated within the last 10 years.
