DAVENHAM Carnival's queen for 2016 will be chosen on Saturday, March 12.
The carnival itself takes place on Saturday, June 11, and has a Wild West theme this year.
Places are available in the retinue for boys and girls of pre-school age upwards, with the lead roles of carnival queen, rosebud and fairy queen also up for grabs.
The selection event takes place at Davenham Royal British Legion on Saturday with registration from 1.30pm.
Bev Roberts, from the organising committee, said: "Everybody's welcome – boys and girls of any age – even if they don't want a title role they need to register on Saturday for the retinue."
Last year's queen was Becky Allen, who was crowned by Phil Hilditch, head teacher at Davenham CE Primary School.
