YOUNG classical violinist Sophie Rosa has an exciting month ahead of her, with a concert at a top venue and the release of her debut CD.

Sophie, 27, from Winnington, is performing with pianist Elena Nemtsova at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on February 25, and her debut CD release is due for release this week on the Champs Hill Records label.

Sophie, who attended The Grange School, is also performing at the Wesley Theatre in Chester on March 17 with acclaimed pianist Martin Roscoe, and on May 15 will be performing at the Grange Theatre, Hartford, with pianist Ben Powell.

Sophie’s 10-track debut CD, Reve D’Enfant, features a selection of French and Belgian works for violin and piano by by Franck, Ravel and Ysaye. It can be pre-ordered on Amazon, and is due for release on Friday.

Sophie has performed across the UK as a recitalist in venues including the Royal Festival Hall, the Purcell Room and Bridgewater Hall as well as appearing with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manchester Camerata.

She has broadcast for Radio 3 and Classic FM.
