I WISH to report that last Monday afternoon, my friend parked her car outside my front gate.
A man knocked on my door to say he had run into the back of my friend’s car.
It was a Peugeot 208 that was only four weeks old and cost £13,000 which was paid for in cash.
The car had been hit and moved several feet down the road.
The driver claimed he had a choice of either hitting my friend’s car or an on-coming car on the other side of the road so he chose the Peugeot.
How long before someone is killed?
There is an infant and junior school at the junction of Weaverham Road.
There are no traffic lights, pedestrian crossing or speed notices. Surely this situation should be rectified.
