A safer alternative
THE safe alternative to stopping the accidents on the Jack Lane junction with the A533 is to prevent traffic turning right from Jack Lane on to the A533.
Make it a left turn only so that anyone coming out of Jack Lane will have to go up to the roundabout and return back down on the other carriageway.
I know it will increase the distance travelled but there is probably enough space, where Jack Lane merges with the A533, to create an acceleration lane so the traffic would merge easier with a 'give way' sign also.
