A MAGIC spell will be cast across west Cheshire when libraries join in the second annual Harry Potter Book Night.

Wizards, witches and muggles will be treated to themed craft, trivia and quizzes during the 'Night of Spells', on Thursday, February 4.

Winsford Library will be offering a full day of themed magic and spells from 10am to 6pm with dressing up strongly encouraged and special Harry Potter crafts and activities will start in Northwich Library at 4pm.

Cllr Louise Gittins, Cheshire West and Chester Council's cabinet member for culture, leisure and wellbeing, said: "It is so exciting to be joining up with thousands of other libraries, schools, bookshops and community centres throughout the world to celebrate the second annual Harry Potter Book Night.
