BARNTON could have its own radio station offering music and information on what’s happening in the village.
Barnton Parish Council chairman Dilys Hooper has been contacted by a local resident about the possibility of launching a radio station for the village.
“The resident approached the council with a view to setting up a radio station for Barnton,” said Cllr Hooper.
“We were approached to see if we could offer advice in finding a location for the radio station, whether there was any funding available or grants which could be applied for,” said Cllr Hooper.
“The council thinks a radio station for the village is in principle a good idea, but it’s early days, and we are in contact with this person to see whether it is feasible or not.”
