BARNTON’S new clerk is looking to help bring the community together to enable residents to enjoy what’s on offer in the village.

Toni Critchlow, who lives in Winsford, has taken on the role of the clerk to Barnton Parish Council.

Mrs Critchlow’s background is mainly in older people’s services, and she worked for more than 20 years for Age UK, based in Northwich.

“I have experience in working collaboratively with service providers and other agencies to maintain high standards of services and ensure everyone has access to local facilities,” she said.

“As a new clerk I hope to promote this way of collaborative working in order to bring together the village and its amenities to enable residents to make the most of what’s on offer here in Barnton. I look forward to getting involved with the village.

“I have recently moved to Winsford to live nearer to my family, my mother and sisters all live in Winsford with their families and my son and his wife live in Northwich.”

Mrs Critchlow’s office is based at the rear of Rosebank School in Townfield Lane, Barnton.

She has an open surgery on Wednesdays from 10am to midday, when villagers can come in without an appointment to discuss any issues or to access information about village events.
