BIG-hearted pupils at Cransley School have been busy preparing Christmas shoe boxes filled with toys and gifts to support the Shoe Box Appeal.

This year pupils and staff wanted to give something back to those children around the world whose Christmas will not be filled with stockings and gifts.

Junior school teacher Karen Hutchinson, who organised the event, said: “With poverty around the world on the increase, this year we all felt strongly that we wanted to help spread a little joy and laughter, and the team at Cransley has worked hard to achieve this.

“I am so proud of the way the pupils and staff made such an effort to create this mountain of festive boxes filled with a little bit of love and hope for those children who would wake up with nothing on Christmas morning.”

The boxes will now be collected and sent across the world in time for Christmas morning.
