THE final night in a three-year run of comedy shows takes place at a Northwich theatre on November 28.

Haha at the Harlequin has seen a host of stand-up comedians play to Northwich audiences since it was started by Barnton comic Kevin Dewsbury.

Kevin said: "For almost three years I've been putting my energy into generating enthusiasm for live stand-up comedy in the mid Cheshire area, as it's the last performance I'll be going all out to make sure it's the best night we've ever had down there.

"I've always said as a comedy promoter I don't just book anyone, I carefully assemble the line-up of comedians so each of them on every bill are different in style and material to each other.

"All the acts are professional comedians and are regularly working for all the top clubs across the UK.

"And we also reiterate that we are the best value comedy club in the area.

"It will be sad to say goodbye to the gig but I do urge the fans of live stand-up comedy who live in the area to remember there are two other comedy clubs in Northwich now so there are still opportunities to see great comedians in Northwich."

Kevin will MC at the event at the Harlequin Theatre, in Queen Street, on November 28.

Acts taking to the stage include Paul Pirie, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean and Danny Sutcliffe.

Paul began his stand-up career after giving up acting to pursue the funny man that lies within, quickly establishing himself on the Scottish comedy circuit as long ago as 2004.

It should be pointed out that at the time he was living with his Gran, having given away the keys to his flat in a pub quiz.

Since this time Paul’s career has encompassed TV, film and radio alongside his burgeoning skill as a stand-up, with Paul emerging as one of the biggest Scottish acts on the UK comedy circuit.

Welsh Comedian Kiri Pritchard-Mclean has been making something of a name for herself in the short time she's being performing stand up comedy.

A unique and assured comic voice Kiri is known for her topical, deft and sometimes dark comedy.

An enviable gag rate and work ethic has seen Kiri rise from open spot to weekend act in just three years and her quick wit and natural charm sees her as a much in demand compere excelling in arts centres and weekend clubs.

Danny Sutcliffe is a stand up comedian from Droylsden, in Manchester.

He started doing stand up in 2009, and in all the gigs he has done since then, has only been knocked unconscious once. He claims that was his best gig.

Early bird tickets are £7 until November 14.

Following that tickets are £10.
