RUDHEATH Primary Academy has benefited from a Prince's Trust community project.

A group of young people on the Northwich Team 12-week programme made mural boards featuring the five key values of the school for pupils to use.

Money to fund the project was raised by the group bag packing in Tesco. They also held a cake sale at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service headquarters to help fund the work.

The team is supported by Sarah Morgan, a project manager at Barclays in Northwich.

Sarah helped the team with the project by providing advice and information on how the group can be successful project managers and what skills they needed to succeed with the project such as budgeting, time management and leadership.

Michelle Dalton, programme manager for the Northwich Prince’s Trust said: “The team worked really hard on this project and the murals looked great. I would like to thank Build Base in Northwich who also supported the project.”

The Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service-led Prince's Trust programme is a 12-week course giving young local people between the age of 16 and 25 the opportunity to learn new skills, complete qualifications and gain greater self-confidence.
