REMEMBRANCE services will take place across mid Cheshire on Sunday, November 8, as residents pause to remember the fallen.

Northwich's annual Remembrance Service starts with a parade that will form up at Crum Hill at 9.15am.

This will leave at 9.30am and make its way along Chesterway to St Helens Church for a service.

Poppy wreaths will be laid at the war memorial, in Church Road, at 10.50am and light refreshments will be served at Northwich Memorial Court following the commemoration.

Winsford's parade will assemble on the drive to Wyvern House council offices at 10.15am and proceed via the Drumber, Dingle Lane, High Street and Dene Drive to the town centre through the two side entrances to Fountain Court.

The service starts at 10.45am and will be led by the town mayor's chaplain, the Rev George Crowder.

In Middlewich the parade will assemble at the Royal British Legion, in Lewin Street, at 10.15am and march to the war memorial at the Bull Ring for the service at 11am.

Weaverham's parade will form up in front of Northwich Road shops from 2pm.

It will leave at 2.30pm and march along Northwich Road, Wallerscote Road and Church Lane to St Mary's Church, where the service will be held.

In Hartford the parade will leave St John's Church Centre at 9.40am, marching to the church via the Green, then returning along Chester Road after the service.

On Armistice Day, Wednesday, November 11, the village's branch of the Royal British Legion will hold its last service of Remembrance, starting at 10.45am, before it disbands.

Following the two minutes’ silence the Legion standard will be handed to the church for safe keeping.

A Remembrance Sunday service takes place at St Wilfrid's Church, in Davenham, at 10.30am, followed by the laying of wreaths at the village war memorial, in London Road.

In Moulton a parade leaves Beehive Corner at 9.30am and makes its way to St Stephen's Church, followed by a wreath laying at the war memorial, in Main Road.

Rudheath residents are invited to a Remembrance service at Rudheath cemetery.

The short service is organised by Rudheath Parish Council, and begins at 2pm.

It includes a two-minute silence and the laying of wreaths at a memorial.
