BARNTON Parish Council is looking to appoint a new part-time clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

“The clerk plays a vital role in advising and monitoring parish council practices and ensuring that statutory and other provisions governing or affecting the parish council are observed,” said the council.

“As such the parish council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with the drive, knowledge and skills to manage a varied workload, support the parish councillors and work with residents and local organisations.”

Anyone interested should apply in writing, giving two referees - if successful one referee will be approached by telephone - in the first instance, to Mrs Dilys Hooper, Barnton Parish Council, The Bungalow, Rosebank School, Townfield Lane, Barnton, CW8 4QP.
