SHOPPERS at Waitrose in Northwich have the chance to support the RNLI this month.

The organisation is one of three organisations being backed by the company’s Community Matters scheme.

Shoppers are given green tokens at the checkout to drop into one of three boxes on their way out to support one of the charities chosen to receive support.

Three charities share £1,000 each month, and the amount each receives is related to the number of tokens it is given by shoppers.

The Northwich branch of the RNLI has been established since 1923, and other organisations being supported this month are Winsford United Youth Development and Northwich Vale Royal Rotary Club.
