TALENTED young singer Lisa Bone will be performing at a charity show she is organising for a club close to her heart.

The 19-year-old from Weaverham is staging the fundraising evening in September in aid of Northwich Multisports Club.

The club is attended by Lisa’s 16-year-old sister, who has autism and developmental delay, and has been of great benefit and support to her and Lisa's family.

Northwich Multisports Club is run by parent/carer volunteers, and is aimed at children with disabilities.

It offers a range of activities including arts and crafts, circus skills, sporting activities and dance, and takes children kayaking in the summer at Manley Mere.

It also offers parents the chance to have a coffee and a chat and get help and advice.

Lisa has completed the first year of a graphic and communication design degree at Leeds University.

She is well-known as a singer in the Northwich area, and is to perform on August 29 at the Northwich Festival.

The Friday Night Live fundraiser for the multisports club is on Friday, September 4 at Owley Wood Recreation Club in Weaverham, and Lisa will be performing with a band including her dad on guitar.

The evening will feature table magician James Dickinson, and Lisa is hoping to include other acts for the fundraiser.

There will be a raffle, a cake sale and pick’n’mix, and all the profits from the evening, which starts at 7.30pm, will go to the multisports club.

“The club gives my sister the chance to get involved in a variety of activities, and she has made friends through the club,” said Lisa.

“It benefits us as a family in giving us a break and enables my parents to meet other parents with children with disabilities.

“The club does such a lot for a lot of families, and when I was at university I thought I could do a charity event in the summer to give something back to the club.

“I’m hoping a lot of people will come along on the night and have a good time, and we can raise as much as possible.”

Tickets for the fundraising evening are £5, which are available by ringing Lisa on 07511 253041 or by emailing her on lisamariemusic@hotmail.co.uk.

Lisa has received a number of raffle prizes, including a fruit basket, a hair wash and dry, beauty vouchers and breakfast for two, and would welcome more prizes.
