A SELFIE campaign is being launched to highlight how childhood cancer can turn a family's world upside down.
The Joshua Tree launches its social media mission on Wednesday, July 1, to help it reach its #digdeep campaign target of £250,000 to build a support centre for families of children with cancer.
Lynda Hill from the charity comments: "When you discover your child has cancer it turns your family’s world upside down and it is never the same again.
"We want to raise awareness of the impact that childhood cancer has on the entire family and are asking people to turn themselves upside down in a 'selfie', then share and donate towards our #digdeep campaign."
The #UpsideDownSelfie campaign encourages people to take selfies of themselves upside down then share and donate this summer.
To participate simply take an #UpsideDownSelfie, post to your social media pages and donate £2 to The Joshua Tree by texting TJTG01 £2 to 70070. Selfies with the most ‘likes’ will be selected for judging and the best #UpsideDownSelfie posted between now and August 31, 2015, will be selected by charity patron and BBC DJ Mark Radcliffe to win two tickets to the charity’s Golden Ball in September.
