FORMER world champions congregated in Warrington to recreate a photograph taken 20 years ago.

Eight of head coach Dave Jackson’s former fighters made it back to Cheshire Martial Arts Centre to don their shorts and belts after two decades.

Jackson, who has worked with a number of Thai Boxing and Kick Boxing champions, set about organising the reunion when he discovered the photo taken in 1995.

The group includes Warren Brown, twice a world champion Thai boxer, who has since worked as an actor on shows such as Hollyoaks and Luther.

Also featured are Ian Ledson, Kevin Harper, Scott Colin, Pele Hall, Brian Rustage, James Burgess and Julie Cross.

Warrington Guardian:

“I found an old photo from 20 years ago and everyone on it was a champion with different belts,” said Jackson.

“Everybody is still friends, still talking; Warren is hugely successful in his own right, as is everyone else.

“We’re all still down to earth on the same level. We’ve just never all been in the room together.”

Since the photo, Jackson, via Widnes' Wolfslair Gym, has been a winning team coach on the UFC series The Ultimate Fighter.

He even stumbled across the world of Hollywood.

“I’m working with some famous fighters,” he said.

“Quinton 'Rampage'Jackson played B.A. Baracus in the latest A-Team movie and I’ve been coaching him in California.”
