WARRINGTON Wolves first-team coach Richard Agar admits they are operating with limited numbers ahead of Sunday's trip to Huddersfield Giants, kick off 3pm.

Kevin Penny picked up an injury in action for North Wales, while Ben Westwood is suspended.

“We’ve got a skinny squad,” said Agar. “We’ll be selecting from 18 players. I think we’ve got nine injuries at the moment.

“We lost Bennie as we decided to accept the early guilty plea, reluctantly. We did feel that the tackle itself was accidental.

"Not for one second do we think there was any intent there from Bennie Westwood, as sometimes can happen when players come together in awkward situations.

“The rules are made in regard to welfare of players, we’re certainly not going to argue with that. But it was a Grade B and going to a tribunal on that you run the risk of getting him two games if you’re not successful.

“Reluctantly, accepting the early guilty plea was probably the sensible thing to do in this case.”

Westwood, who was charged for a first-half challenge on Catalans Dragons centre Ben Pomeroy in last Friday's game, will be available again for the trip to Hull KR on Friday, June 19.
