Good food, music and fun were all in abundance as residents came together to have lunch outside.

Numerous similar events took place throughout the area - including one on Crathie Road in Lee and Forest Hill's Colfe Road - as part of the nationwide Big Lunch initiative launched by the Eden Project in 2009 to promote community values.

Colfe Road resident Rita Martins, 37, said: "A lot of people joined in and contributed in some way, some even from adjacent streets.

"We had some great live music - I think the most popular acts were South Circular and Hummy Mummies".

She added: "There were loads of people commenting on our Facebook page, saying how much they enjoyed it and that it was actually one of the best in the area.

"I'd especially like to thank our organisers Kirsten Brooks and Anna Lumley-Noble, who put in a lot of effort to make sure everything ran smoothly."
