A HOST of family fun is coming to Northwich on Saturday.

The town centre will be full of arts, crafts, live music, animals and even a lifelike dinosaur during the Northwich Summer Extravaganza.

Live music includes performances by the John Colins Band, Matty Awbery, Mike Baddeley and Matt Davies at the Witton Chimes pub between 2pm and 5pm.

Blozone will play at the Quayside pub from 3pm.

Brunner Court will also play host to a variety of musicians from noon to 4pm, including The Northwich Pop Choir, Cockney Carol, The Ageless Ukes and a selection of solo artists.

Crafts include glitter tattoo art, face painting, balloon artist and neck garlands.

The dinosaur will be by the Bull Ring and the Meerkats and Friends Petting Zoo will be in Weaver Square.

A host of superheroes, princesses, stiltwalkers and a unicyclist will parade through town throughout the day and have their photographs taken with passers by.

The event also coincides with the town's monthly artisan market from 10am to 4pm.

Northwich Summer Extravaganza has been organised by the Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) to build on the success of the Easter weekend.

Activities take place between 11am and 4pm.
