ANTHONY England hopes his dreams of reaching a Challenge Cup Final will begin in familiar surroundings tomorrow, Friday.

That would be at Dewsbury Rams’ Tetley’s Stadium, round the corner from the Warrington prop’s home and where Wolves open their Wembley campaign for 2015.

The 28-year-old, who spent two years with the Championship outfit, admits semi-final defeat in both competitions hurt last year and is keen to make amends.

“I was gutted last year in the semis,” said England. “To get to any final, Challenge Cup or Grand Final, it would be an absolute dream for me.

“I live just around the corner from the ground and played for them for two seasons, so it will be nice to go back there.

“I know quite a lot of fans and hopefully they won’t be giving me too much stick. My family will be there and a lot of friends with a few of the regulars, so it should be good.”

England knows what it is like to be the underdog facing a Super League side and will be warning his Wolves teammates against complacency.

“When I was at Featherstone we beat Castleford in the cup and we ran Wigan pretty close,” he explained.

“The Dewsbury pitch is not the biggest, I don’t know how it will suit our game, so some of the boys will have to adjust.

“I’m looking forward to it, being my hometown club, but I think it’ll be a challenge for some of the boys.

“I watched them in a friendly around Christmas time against Batley, but I’m sure the Dewsbury team they put out now will be different.”
