Robbie Williams and his wife have pledged to “strenuously” defend themselves after a former employee took legal action against them.
US website TMZ said Gilles De Bonfilhs was suing the Angels singer and his wife Ayda Field over claims she sexually harassed him before he was fired.
A spokeswoman for Robbie said: “The claims being made by a disgruntled former employee, after he was sacked for serious misconduct, are entirely without substance. Any proceedings will be strenuously defended. There will be no further comment on the matter as it is in the hands of the lawyers.”
The couple, who married in 2010, have two children.
Stoke-born Robbie first hit the headlines in Take That but quit the group in 1995 and embarked on a hugely successful solo career.
He married Ayda in the grounds of his Beverly Hills mansion in August 2010 and their daughter Theodora was born two years later.
A son, called Charlton Valentine, arrived last October.
